USPA NEWS - President Emmanuel Macron, received tonight Thursday 19 September (7pm French time), Prime Minister Michel Barnier, who is submitting the shortlist of the future ministers to make a full government.
It is two weeks already, that Michel Barnier, as soon as appointed Prime Minister, is getting himself ready to lead a new team to govern France, which is going through a political crisis (no full majority for none of any political parties) and has to deal with multiple issues, such as inflation, the huge national public debt of €Bn 3200 etc…
Michel Barnier is deeply unsettled, as he is facing the lack of efforts from the future members of the government, not that much eager to reunite and overpass their anger for the sake of the general interest of the nation.

New pointed Prime Minister, as he was awaited, like a messy, Michel Barnier has no other solution than to form a government of national unity, that is to say by practicing "strength in numbers" and bringing together members of each of the political parties representing the current Parliament, whose National Assembly is fractured. Indeed, 1/3 of the deputies are from the left, 1/3 from the extreme right and 1/3 with 1/3 from the center grouping together...

We publish the full text of the latest statement released by the Prime Minister Office, (Matignon) today, on 19th of September 2024,
as it was delivered. We shall udpate amid the list of the new mmbers of the French governement, once officially released during this week-end, as it comes soon.
The Prime Minister has just brought together the leaders of the political forces and parliamentary groups ready to support the action of the future government.

"After recalling the expectations of the French people and the urgency of meeting them, he reaffirmed his priorities:

1- Improving the standard of living of the French people and the functioning of public services
$ particularly schools and health;
$ guaranteeing security, controlling immigration and advancing integration;
$encouraging our businesses and farmers and strengthening France's economic attractiveness;
$controlling our public finances and reducing the ecological debt.
2- The Prime Minister wanted to ensure that this course was shared, in a spirit of responsibility. He insisted on the ongoing dialogue that he wishes to establish with all parliamentarians, local elected officials and the country's vital forces.

After two weeks of intensive consultations with the various political groups, he presented the architecture and balances of his government team project.
